Inside the Selection Room: How the Committee Decides the Final 10

Thirty schools reached the shortlist through open nominations and direct invitations. Only ten will play at Mandeville.

What the committee considers

• Recent results and form, including recognised school rankings used as reference.
• The strength and depth of each basketball programme.
• Completeness of the school's team profile and squad details.
• A field that represents South African schools basketball nationally.

What happens next

The Final Top 10 is announced at the end of October, followed by the provisional pool draw. Confirmed schools then receive their participation information directly.
