Sunday workshops
Top 10 Development Certificate of Competence
Every delegate who completes a Sunday workshop — Stats, Referees, Administrators and Organisers or Table Officials — receives a Top 10 Development Certificate of Competence for that programme.
Coaching Course
Certified by Basketball South Africa and FIBA
The 13–15 August 2027 Coaching Course will be certified by Basketball South Africa and FIBA, delivered by official FIBA Instructor Craig Daniels. It runs at SAHETI School in Senderwood, Bedfordview, Johannesburg, where the classroom and courts give delegates teaching space and playing space in one place — the best environment for a course that moves between theory and practice.
Certificates are issued to delegates who attend their booked session. The Coaching Course is certified by Basketball South Africa and FIBA through official FIBA Instructor Craig Daniels; course recognition and assessment criteria are confirmed with the federations before the course opens.
Five audiences. One commitment.

From foundations to practice
The 2027 activities plan
01
Learn the basics
Audience-specific introductory workshops, rules sessions and reference workbooks. Build a shared foundation before moving into practical work.
02
Put it into practice
On-court coaching clinics, mock-game officiating, bench rotations, live stats exercises and tournament-planning simulations with relevant experts.
03
Assess and certify
Reviewed practical assessment during each session. Workshop delegates receive a Top 10 Development Certificate of Competence; the Coaching Course is certified by Basketball South Africa and FIBA.
Programme sequence is proposed, not a confirmed timetable. Sunday workshop venues and facilitators are still being confirmed.
Expert input. Responsible development.
Top 10 plans to work with the appropriate coaches, officiating specialists, statisticians, event-safety professionals and municipal representatives to address current requirements. We are seeking input and buy-in from Basketball South Africa and FIBA as the programme takes shape.
Workshop certificates of competence are issued by Top 10 Development. The Coaching Course will be certified by Basketball South Africa and FIBA through official FIBA Instructor Craig Daniels. Municipal requirements must be confirmed for each event and location; a workbook is not legal advice or evidence of approval.
